My only daughter, Aubrey is the light of my life. She has changed my life for the better and this year, Chandler and I wanted to throw her a special birthday party for turning two. When I started thinking about this months ago, I thought- ok, she's into Minnie Mouse and Elmo, so I'm not sure which should be the theme of her party. Well, after Christmas and seeing her delight at receiving Tickle Me Elmo and Peek a Boo Elmo, I decided we are going to have an Elmo Themed Birthday Party. I first secured a venue at Crystal Hall Community Center in Somers, NY.
I ordered her Elmo themed Party Invitations from Zazzle. I loved them! I then started our guest list. Once I sent out invitations I was on the search for entertainment. I came across Quesada Entertainment in the Bronx. They gave me a great deal with face painting, magic show, cotton candy machine and a costumed Elmo. I ordered food from Briarcliff Market and Deli. They were very accommodating and were delivering my food. I ordered her cake from Sweet Delites Pastry Shop in Somers. They made a 2-tiered Elmo cake with other Sesame Street Characters on it I then went to 4 Party City Stores for decorations. Everyone must be having an Elmo themed birthday party because most of the stores I went to were out of Elmo stuff. I ordered pizza for the kids and brought alcohol for the adults!
I love Etsy and as so of you may know, I also co-own an Etsy shop with my best friend, Nytoppers. My partner made Aubrey a special cake topper for her birthday. Her Elmo themed tutu came from HugsWear on Etsy out of Washington. I bought her Red Converse to match her outfit.
All in all, it was a lot to plan, but I am so glad we pulled it off! Aubrey had an amazing time and had lots of fun with her friends. I hope one day she will look back at these pictures and remember how much she is loved!
